DACC UPDATE TO ANIMAL SHELTERING OPERATIONS FOR #WOOSLEYFIRE 150 150 Animal Care and Control

Today, DACC has reopened its Agoura Animal Care Center that was evacuated last Friday morning.

The Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care (DACC) and Control continues to provide safe sheltering for animals as a result of the active fires that have affected thousands of Los Angeles County residents. DACC has sheltered over 800 animals since Thursday, November 8th, 2018 including dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, llamas, donkeys, and other large animals. Animal sheltering sites include Pierce College, Hansen Dam and Antelope Valley Fairgrounds. DACC also staffed mobile animal shelters at Taft High School and Borchard Park. Throughout this event, the Department of Animal Care and Control has provided monitoring and sheltering 24 hours each day.
